Rice Open Water 2008


Swimmers and parents had fun with this meet.  The rain didn’t dampened the fun!  (When has rain ever posed a problem for a swimmer?)  NEHA swimmers participating in a “different” meet venue, OPEN WATER!!


The highlights:  Marilia Baralt (a mom who participates in NEHA’s “Fitness/Masters Swim” at KAC) swimming with her sons Andres & Lucas, and Coach Clay “coaching” from the water as he swam with the team!

 

Meet Registration Instructions

 

 
To sign up for a meet:
 1)  Print out the Meet Entry Form for the appropriate meet or sign up online here.
 2)  Open the meet invitation on our Meet Schedule Page.
 3)  Note the event number(s) & event name(s) you wish to swim.
 4)  Confirm that you have qualifying times if required.
      (Check the Individual Times web site)
 5)  Fill out the Meet Entry Form, or the Online Form.
 6)  Either click the ‘submit’ button at the bottom of our Online Meet Entry Form,
      or you can submit your printed copy of our Meet Entry form at practice.
 7)  Submit checks (payable to Kingwood Athletic Club) in a sealed envelope to the 
      KAC Hospitality Desk.
 
Notes:
 1.  The deadline for meet entries is 10-14 days before the meet begins, although we
    encourage earlier submittals.  Late registrations may require on-deck 
      registration by swimmer which will cost double regular meet fees.
 2.  What is your swimmer’s US Identification?
   It is your 6 digit birth date, first three letters of first  name, middle initial, 
      first four letters of last name.

Mandatory Parent Meeting Thursday, September 18th at 4:30 PM or 5:45 PM at the Kingwood Athletic Club.

Black and Gold Intra-squad Meet Saturday, September 27th

This meet is for ALL NEHA practice groups.  It is a FREE meet and we encourage all swimmers to sign-up for the events they would like to swim.

IMPORTANT !!
Team Assessments for
   2008-2009 Season:

Assessments will be done on 

Tuesday's at 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM

during the month of September.

Please contact the Aquatic Department at dgillespie@kacoline.com to set up a time for your swimmer's assessment so that they are placed in the appropriate skill level.

2008-2009 Short Course Schedule:

The Meet Schedule for the 2008-09 Short Course season is now available.  Please be aware that the schedule is still subject to change as the venues have not been selected by the host teams yet.  You may view the line-up here and it can also be found under the 'Meet Information' tab of the website.  Also, Parents don't forget about the new online 'Event Volunteer Form' found under the 'Parent/Swimmer' tab of the website.  This is an online volunteer sign-up form for working the meets that we attend.

Noteworthy News!

We have had the privilege of having Christoph Lubenau, currently swimming with LSU, practice with the NEHA Gold level. For those of you who missed this past Tuesday, ask Coach Jen or Coach Deb to share with you his suggestions for success!
